JO ran the Wishbone at UW in 1969 and finished 1-9. In 1970-1972 JO discovered Sonny 6 and went to a traditional two-back offense to open up the passing. After Sonny graduated, in 1973 JO went to a modified Houston Veer option offense with QB James Anderson but he was ineffective and was replaced (in Game 1) by Denny F.
JO's 1973 "Quick T" and his 1974 Denny F. "Veer" were essentially the same offense, and was very similar to Skippy's "Marques T "Woodinville HS Wing T" that Skippy ran in 2000. -
