And I didnt even go into the extra production and microphone advantage ESPN brings out for SEC games. They purposefully AMP up SEC games, with cameras a pac12 game has never seen. SEC games have better-than NFL sound and camera. Pac12 game coverage looks like a high school game between Prosser and Twisp. Horrible muted sound, 2 cameras for the entire stadium and b-list or has-been commentators to cover games.
When Keith Jackson retired, so too did pac12 coverage. Its such a disadvantage to have ESPN own the SEC. Make no mistake, recruits notice and unfortunately so do voters and writers. -
NFL.com ... 2016 NFL draft SEC leads all CFB conferences with 51 picks
"It's a familiar perch for the SEC, which has now led all of college football in draftees for 10 consecutive years. In 2015, the SEC had 54 players drafted, edging the ACC by seven picks." -
One team conferences are better than zero team conferences.puppylove_sugarsteel said:
One team does not a conference make asshole. Again 55 read on and educate your dumbass. Precisely the point I was trying to make. Arggh ughh fuuuuuuuck!!!!!!RoadDawg55 said:
Every conference has a couple of teams that can beat anyone. Alabama and Ohio State are the two most consistent, best programs.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:All I've ever said is it's overrated and has been since 2009 or so. I never said it's a trash conference like the Big East was. When media members say Ohio St would finish sixth in the SEC, the hype train is going 500 mph.
Also, you're leaving out Rayce, Sven, and Shit throat?
Do I write incendiary things to get a reaction from them at times? Sure. It's fun.
I've been an SEC hater at times because there is a lot of bullshit propaganda going on, but Alabama is the best program in cfb and they do put the most players in the NFL. It's hard to argue against the SEC being the best conference.
HTH -
SEC>ACC or Big 10> Big 12>Pac-12 (distant 5th)
Hope this helps. -
I never thought I'd get FREE PUB!!!!!!11!!!! alongside the two all time leaders in points. I'd just like to take a moment to thank some people. First, I'd like to thank Sven and Race for allowing me to ride their coat tails. I'd also like to thank my two dads for their undying support, I'd like to thank my mom for keeping my basement fridge stocked with Mountain Dew, I'd like to thank pumpy and Bill for supplying me with an endless supply of Doog arguments to shoot down, and last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank @koopdog for his service.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:All I've ever said is it's overrated and has been since 2009 or so. There is a lot of variance every season. A mid tier school in a conference may rise up to national contender because everything comes together. A bottom tier school may rise to top 25 quality. A top school may have bad injury luck or maybe they can't find a quarterback. All this changes year to year. What never changes is the SEC always puts the most guys into the NFL and they almost always win the national championship.

It was probably the best from 2006-2008, maybe in 2009, and another year or two, maybe. They were heavily aided by pussy scheduling though. I don't know why Road is whining so much. I'm basically in agreement.
The draft picks are due in part to the fact they had 12, then 14 teams. Is some of it due to talent? Yes. Also remember there are idiotic GMs in the NFL.
Sure, if you're only criteria is natties, it's good. You can just as easily say independents dominated a lot of the 80s with Miami, ND, and Penn St six titles. There. INDEPENDENTS WERE 20 TIMES BETTER THAN CONFERENCE TEAMS IN THE 80s BECAUSE THEY WON NATIONAL TITLES. BOOM.
