The dawgs could not sustain the running game against Rootgers, it's a concern to me at least.

They werent really trying to though. Running games usually take off in the second half, when defenses are tiring down. Unless youre a sark coached d in case you get ran over from the start -
I would have fired Jonathan Smith the first time he ran the wildcat. How many times have we run that with or without Lindquist over the past 2 years? How many times has it worked? Are we giving Smith a job as some sort of feels bad opportunity for the mentally handicapped?

They win 48-13 they can go 0-12 on 3rd downs and wear pink tutus for all I care.

does Lindy's -2 yard reception keep him in the running for whatever retarded watch list trophy he's on pace to win?

When Lindquist lines up and takes a step back...they are going to throw it to him and he will launch it downfield to a wide open Ross or McClatcher.Meek said:does Lindy's -2 yard reception keep him in the running for whatever retarded watch list trophy he's on pace to win?
I am officially calling this play the Triple Lindy. -

But how is our problem mental weakness?!?!?whatshouldicareabout said:3rd downs.
Here are the third-down situations we(?) faced with 3rd down conversion rate:
1Q
3rd and 4: 43 yard TD pass Browning to McClatcher (1/1)
3rd and 4: 0 yard run from Gaskin (1/2)
3rd and 11: -3 yard sack of Browning (1/3)
2Q
3rd and 6: 5 yard pass Browning to McClatcher (1/4)
3rd and 17: incomplete pass Browning to Daniels (1/5)
3rd and 16: 5 yard pass Browning to Fuller (1/6)
3Q
3rd and 3: 1 yard run from Gaskin (1/7)
3rd and 4: 15 yard PI on Rutgers (1/7)**
3rd and 9: 10 yard pass Browning to Daniels (2/8)
3rd and 4: incomplete pass Browning to Baccellia (2/9)
4Q
3rd and 5: -2 yard pass KJCS to Lindquist (2/10)
3rd and 3: 0 yard rush from Coleman (2/11)
3rd and 1: 6 yard rush from Dotson (3/12)
**First downs awarded by penalty are not scored against 3rd Down Efficiency but it is included since it's a 3rd down play
25% against a dreck Rutgers is abysmal, especially since 9 of the 13 situations were 5 yards or less. Play-calling really needs to improve on 3rd down. -
The thing that pisses me off the most about our? offense is that there is no flow whatsoever. Most offenses I can watch and conceptually understand what the are doing. Smith just seems to use a random number generator with his plays or he's trying way to hard to be some sort of offensive pioneer for shitty play calling.
Either way I could run a better offense using the playbook from NFL Blitz 2000. -
