Interesting, I was led to believe that you are fair game and need to keep your head on a swivel during a return. The hit was high and that deserves a suspension but no more than 1 game.

The Wisconsin player downed the ball and was running to the sideline.

The hit was malicious and was delivered with the intent to injure and there was no reason for it. It wasn't simply a hard hit with bad timing or helmet contact
