A thought on the Kevin Ware injury

As bad as the injury was, that won't be the worst of it. If he makes a return to the court in a year or two, a hyper media fuss will be made over it because of the type of overly emotional society we've become. If he's a humble sort, he will have to smile and shrug thousands of times as people make a fuss over him for years to come. What a burden. If he's lacking in humility, all the fuss will go to his head and nurture that needy weak spot of his character.

Yeah, it was bad and had shock value, but not the worst sports injury. Probably easier to comeback from a borken leg than a torn up knee. It was over the top when inheardbhim described as a "hero". Wtf? A hero for breaking your leg on in a basketball game? The mediamand society clearly doesn't know what word hero means anymore.

C-Dub's injury was thousands of times worse obviously.

You can't even compare the two. One was fatal, the other just a setback. I hope it doesn't turn out Ware has character flaws, the media might turn on him and take away his hero badge.DerekJohnson said:C-Dub's injury was thousands of times worse obviously.
