41% favorable, 56% unfavorable.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/08/31/a-record-number-of-americans-now-dislike-hillary-clinton/

A competent Republican candidate would be leading her comfortably right now.

Unfortunately, they nominated a guy who is even more despised than Hillary.

True, but let's see what happens following the debates. Hillary has been hiding for a reason. People hate her more when she's forced to speak. An octogenarian socialist "launched a movement" that would have been crushed by a competent candidate doing something more than treading to keep her head above water.

This election is a total clown show. Unbelievable. I am surprised both don't have unfavorables in the 80% range

The news in this is that she's hated by a majority of women now and rapidly growing block of Hispanics and liberals.

From the link in the first post:

Interestingly, Clinton's numbers appear to have dropped since that early August poll mostly in groups that have been very supportive of her:

Her favorable rating among women dropped from 54 percent to just 45 percent.
Among Hispanics, it went from 71 percent to 55 percent.
Among liberals, it went from 76 percent to 63 percent.

Serious question: are you mentally retarded?

Being "hated" is now the same as "not favorable"?

    Who is mentally retarded?

liberals have never liked her. Her support has always come from the old party loyalists and the idiots who love to play identity politics

As her health and mental stability (what's left of it) spirals downward it's going to turn into a huge shit show. She doesn't have press conferences because she's nuts!

I don't think it's so much that she's nuts as it is that she's a raging bitch that no one can stand. At least she (or someone in her campaign) realizes this, but they're trying a little too hard to run out the clock up 20 with 20 minutes left in the game. At some point they're going to have make a few first downs at the very least.

Hillary is basically running the Thomas Dewey in '48 strategy where she's got the big lead and just trying to nurse it to the finish line. The messaging has never changed.

In contrast, similar to what Truman did, Trump is traveling everywhere and fine tuning his message while making points that Hillary really can't argue about.

Trump's really starting to make great points regarding the economic results in the minority communities over the last 8 years. Hillary can't really argue against the numbers. Hillary can't even really point to her domestic and international policy experience because then she has to start answering about Benghazi, Iraq, and even the Clinton Foundation.

At this point, it's Trump that is trying to move things forward while Hillary is sitting in the background. Take this meeting in Mexico as an example. Trump's acting in a way that you'd want your President acting by taking initiative by meeting with individuals that one is required to work with to carry out objectives.

The Hillary playbook right now consists basically of furthering the narrative that Trump isn't Presidential ... that's it. If Trump can defeat that narrative, there's nothing left for her to stand on. Events like today, particularly in light of Hillary so far not taking up the opportunity to go to Mexico, go to defeat Hillary's narrative.

There's a lot of time left in this race and @dnc is right that Hillary's got a lead and trying to play hang on ... it's like Oregon's 2nd half in the Alamo Bowl last year.

You like to write a 2,000 word post to make the same point that has already been made in the thread.

    You do that.

There never was a big lead. Legions of people are afraid to admit they are voting for Trump. I'm also convinced the media is so slanted toward Hillary that they're skewering the numbers to create a fraudulent sense of reality.

    Trump will win, cook it!

We heard the same Bradley Effect/Liberal Media Bias excuses the last 2 elections.

    How'd that turn out again?

Have there been dozens to hundreds of newsworthy defections of prominent democrats that hate her so much that they've publicly endorsed her opponent in this election? ...thus making election history?

Because I've heard that this has been happening to Trump all summer.
