"€œSo if you have a guy with dark-colored hair and a guy with light-colored hair and they both perform the same at the high school level, do you want to take the guy who has already developed all the way or the one who hasn'€™t?"

    ISAFNRC!!!!!!!

Or nobody thought you were good in high school. It happens Coop. They were wrong.

Didn't read all the posts, but if he ended up at Eastern it's hard for me to blame Sark.

It would have been awesome if he would have transferred to UW this season.

I just like to pile on Sark, but I agree with all of this.

His dad sounds like a fag.

Is there any science to back this up?
    No

Sure, I mean, fuck Sark and all, but who gives a shit if some random football player from the 50s couldn't get his shitty grandson on the radar of a Pac-12 school? No head coach has the time to respond to all 5000 little autistic Rudys who try to become pen pals with dreams of somehow making the roster. Sure, Kupp went on to be a pretty good college player (in the FCS), but that doesn't change the fact that he was a buttfuck nobody in high school.

I could be wrong, but Sark got Ross, Daniels, and String the same class. Everyone here would have done the same.

I don't blame Sark for not offering him a scholarship but it's kinda fucked up to not even respond to an alum like that. Someone who is not a raging alcoholic idiot responds and gets an underling to put the grandpa in touch with lower-level coaches who might be interested. If the kid turns out to be any good, it's FREE PUB later down the line.
If we're(?) gonna start bashing raging alcoholic idiots, I'm out.

My thoughts exactly. No sane person expects a coach to be pen pals with the guy, but when an ex-player reaches out, at least sick an underling after him and see what's up. From the sounds of it, there's a decent chance kid would've walked on. Either way, dad is quite butthurt and it would be a much better look if he said "yeah he wanted to go to UW and it didn't work out. But he had the desire to prove everyone wrong and I couldn't be prouder of him." Badaboom. Realest guy in the room. How you doin?

Why not let the kid be a walk-on or something?
