"SEASON TICKET UPDATE
Sales of Washington Huskies football season tickets are up this season – just barely.
After the school sold 39,821 season tickets last season – not including students – a UW spokesperson said on Monday that the school has sold 39,867 season tickets for the 2016 season.
Last year at this time, UW had sold 39,357 season tickets. The school sold more than 43,000 season tickets in 2014."
Here is what I said over a month ago when the AD made a big deal about 3,000+ new season tickets sold:
"So, because I'm a fucking nerd, and I follow every single detail of UW too closely I decided to dig into the numbers a bit.
Last Aug. 22nd UW reported 39,357 season tickets sold, I'll be generous and say in that final two weeks they sold some more and got up to 39,500.
Cohen herself a month ago said they had a 92% retention rate on season tickets this year. That means that 36,340 season tickets was their starting point.
Let's say that the actual number of new season tickets sold is 3,200 so far this year (likely being generous as they probably just got past the 3,000 mark when they decided to post that tweet).
This means that right now UW is at 39,540 season ticket holders, about the same as they were at last year, but they have a month to go.
TL;DR BECAUSE IM A LOOSER: WOOPTY-FUCKING-DOO"
I WAS FUCKING RIGHT AND YES I ONLY POINT OUT THE TIMES I WAS RIGHT. IM IN YOUR HEAD, JEN. I HAVE A SOURCE IN THE TICKET OFFICE AND IN MARKETING AS WELL AS ONE OF YOUR UPPER LEVEL AD PEOPLE.

Hawt ticket

So basically 3,000 people got fed up with the 7-5 seasons, weird start times, slick epileptic seizure inducing stadium, and generally horrible marketing and ditched their season tickets, and 3,000 new suckers (or probably 700 plus 2,300 Venue Queens, Stubhub, and smaller operators) actually bought season tickets to take their place and they broke even on season tickets from 2015 to 2016?

Ladies and gentlemen, the results of the best sales team in America!!!!!!!
Seriously, a loser AD who has been with the loser department for its 17 biggest loser years ever and this is the state of UW's murdered golden goose (as Derek would say) -
It's depressing to witness upward failure like this. But it's gone on so long, I guess I should be happy there's nobody posting as "WeHaveAFatLesboAD" yet, meaning, yes indeed, it could get even worse. And probably will.

Put this on the front page. Send the
ravenstweets. Light the beacons. -
I would love to have a lesbian AD - she'd probably finally care about sports.TurdBuffer said:It's depressing to witness upward failure like this.
