I actually bought a painting from Marinovich after seeing the 30 for 30 a few years back.
Supremely talented, but tortured dude. -

I waste it on sports memorabilia, alcohol, and cocaine. The Marinovich purchase was a clear case of abundance. -

I've been living out of a suitcase the past few months and am currently in Boise, but it's this one:dnc said: -
This piece speaks to me in the Fauvism tone similar to the post-impressionist paintings of Paul Gauguin. The color in the background is obviously expressing his feelings about a subject rather than describing a scene. The cool richness of the background...mixing with the dejected soul as it seems his hand is thrust into the fire.Doogles said:

Tortured souls are long theme in art. Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Todd Marijuananovich... pretty common. I'm not saying Robo QB is as good as Van Gogh or Munch... just saying tortured solus matter. A lot of twisting going on out here.

Just look at before and after pics of Chet Baker for a prime example.AEB said:Tortured souls are long theme in art. Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Todd Marijuananovich... pretty common. @DerekJohnson, can we add a front page (we have a front page) section for @CokeGreaterThanPepsi to do art reviews? He's a natural talent.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:HuskyJW said:
