The costliest US floods
Hurricane Katrina in 2005: $16.3 billion
Superstorm Sandy in 2012: $8.3 billion
Hurricane Ike in 2008: $2.7 billion
Hurricane Ivan in 2004: $1.6 billion
Hurricane Irene in 2011: $1.3 billion

This flood is expected to be around $30 million. I get it's devastating, but take a long walk off a Pier for perspective. -
Obama feels like the rest of us do...
If you wanna live somewhere that the ocean is actively trying to reclaim, then you're on your own, suckers. -
It's all OK for your comrades, especially the supreme leader.2001400ex said:

I get it. Cause Trump took a picture with a box of shit in his hands, he's a real hero. Maybe he should get another purple heart for his efforts.Sledog said:

Red Cross, has been much more conservative, and predicts costs of at least $30 million at this point.HoustonHusky said:

I saw it the first time I read it and laughed. You have to love brilliant reporters...they are only slightly brighter than you. You (of course don't) realize the Red Cross number is Red Cross estimate of how much the Red Cross is going to spend helping people, right? I.e. it ain't the total cost. I know that apparently is too difficult a notion for you or Rayhanul Ibrahim to check, much less put into perspective (yeah...100,000 people displaced should only cost $30 million...yeah...that makes sense).2001400ex said:

And yes, I knew it was there...I though it would be a fun article to post because of that simple detail (most reporters are morons too...its always amusing to catch one that can't cross-check a simple fact). And I'm sure you don't know this but the state itself is probably going to have to get emergency loans just to cover immediate spending, much less the long-term rebuilding.
Sounds like a $30 million total cost...keep shining the light on that speed limit IQ of yours...
