    Except every two years when there is some small glimmer of hope. Fuck the Sonics. They hadn't been relevant, save for one Ray Allen year since the late 90's. Very few gave a fuck about the Sonics until they were gone. Then everybody became huge Sonics fans.
    I bought an eight game pack for the 2002-2003 season plus I saw them play the Rockettes (lol) because my dad wanted to see Yao Ming. They were pretty mediocre or worse from '99 through 2008. I don't blame people for not putting down thousands of dollars for season tickets. The NBA got pretty bad around that time as well.
