UW Drafted Players, and the Need for a BBall Facility

With that said, the question must be asked: With so many players drafted in the NBA and getting contracts later on as well, why have they not gotten any major donations from those players?
I know UCLA has gotten major gifts from their bball players (Westbrook being most recent) and UA has gotten major gifts as well.

I was promised that an indoor practice facility for football would help us beat Oregon
All I got was an Owen12 tee shirt and 12 losses in a row and counting -

UW has admitted that they have been trying to get a basketball only facility for the past 5-7 years now. They have had no success.

Just guessing out loud, but Hawes seems like the type of guy who would donate. B-Roy maybe as well. I doubt any others would.CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:UW has admitted that they have been trying to get a basketball only facility for the past 5-7 years now. They have had no success.

I fully expect Hawes to become a football booster at some point once he retires. He's been a UW fan his whole life.RoadDawg55 said:

Your problem isn't a Bball facility or attracting top talent. Your problem is that you don't do shit with the talent you get.
And a fancy gym isn't going to fix that. -

I heard PLU's Olson Auditorium could be available.
Romar could drive his short bus down to Parkland (fighting the I-5 southbound traffic in the afternoons), have the guys that are renting his program out practice (or just fuck around and not practice defense, rebounding, not fouling, free throws, and inbounds plays), then pack em all up in the short bus again and take them for a ride along South Tacoma Way where the fellas could stop by every Asian massage parlor before getting on I-5 northbound at 9pm each night for the ride back to the dorms. -
I'm pointing out that Romar sucks in another area of his job. For all the love his former players have for him you'd expect he would have been able to get some of them to help raise funds for the facility.salemcoog said:

I'm going to build a practice facility. It's going to be great. Really great. A beautiful practice facility. And we're going to make Mexico pay for it

Westbrook was rumored to have given between 1-3million of the $50-$60M. The large bulk of the money (for both FB/BB practice facilities) came from a rich Jewish guy (Mo Ostin and Casey Wasserman).
