Good gameplan by the Cavs. Nothing you can do when the opposing teams role players shoot 90%.

Also I'm hearing the 72 win Bulls could never shut down Curry and Thompson, even though the 57 win Cleveland Cavaliers just did.

Can't speak for anyone else, but my claim is the 96 Bulls could not shut them down for the course of a 7 game series. For a game or 2? Sure, shooters have off nights, that's the nature of shooters. Memphis shut them down for a couple games last year too. Cleveland did to start the series last year as well. Klay's more inconsistent, but Steph always adjusts and finds his rhythm. He'll go off in this series too. Even though he might not need to.
As an alleged Grizzlies fan you should know that series flipped when Golden State stopped guarding Tony Allen so Memphis couldn't play him. Not because you can't possibly ever stop them for a full series.

Seriously, you're saying the 2015 Memphis Grizzlies did it twice so that's the max, no one could ever be better than them. Nearly as stupid as saying some fucking rando Blazers player couldn't guard Steph therefore no one ever could.
Good point about Allen I think I repressed those memories.

I'm not saying two games is the max necessarily. I don't know what the max is. I am saying he has a history of having a bad game here or there or even a couple but always eventually finds his shot. I expect the same in this series.

I'll grant you what Barbosa and Livingston did last night is not repeatable. Do you think Cleveland is shutting Steph and Klay down like this multiple more times this series? I don't.
Cleveland is most likely not doing that again.

But just to be clear on my point on the whole Bulls/Warriors comparison, I don't think the Bulls would just clamp down and hold those guys to 0 points, I think they'd make them have to work harder to be less efficient. Tony Allen is really the only top tier perimeter defender those two have had to deal with in the last two years and he gave them hell. If you make those two less efficient and more tired then I think you beat Golden State. They won the last game but, you know, Cleveland.
Can't really disagree with much of this. I definitely think Pippen/Jordan would affect Steph and Klay. I just think Steph would still get his over the course of the series. And Tony Allen is a special kind of crazy. First team. All defense.
    Kreist....

I'll take irrelevant posts and those that agree with them for $400 Alex.

Everybody gets shut down by somebody every now and then unless they're a loser like Durant or LeBron James and brick or choke as many shots as points scored or sometimes more shots than points.

When it's not your night, you defer to the other guys who A) Have a better matchup or B. Have it goin' that particular night. or C) Abundance.

The Splash Brothers who struggled, put the game away in the 4th quarter with b2b 3's when they needed them.

Tony Allen isn't in the series nor is Michael Jordan.

I for one just hope there's no injuries due to the slippery floor tonight.
You've been whooshed through this whole thread. Go back to talking something you understand like Packers football.

I'm genuinely upset that the Finals are this shitty. I hope the NBA lives up to their corruption and helps Cleveland win the next two.

The Finals last year were competitive. I agree that OKC-GS has been the best series the past two years.
