    ...but how is our* fanbase breathtakingly stupid? Can someone make a rational, logic-based argument for her being hired over a proven external candidate? I feel like a lot of our* fanbase is on another planet. Most are just dumb mouthbreathers who will cheer rah rah for anything UW and savagely attack anyone who criticizes - but it almost makes me think they have more nefarious aims.

    Uninspired. Unsurprising.

    I think it's possible she will do a great job. It's also possible I'll nail 9's or 10's four nights in a row (I'm not ugly but I'm not rich or famous and there are very few nines and tens here until college starts up again). Both scenarios are really unlikely. I think she will be some combination of Barbara Hedges Butch and Woody Woodpecker.
