    Maybe I'm the only one here who majored in something other than gender studies or similar liberal arts bullshit, but did you ever actually have a socialist professor? Liberal sure, but no economics or poli-sci class I ever took was taught by anyone who espoused beliefs that even resembled socialism. The only socialists I saw were the fucktard students with bandannas around their face in Red Square.

    My guess is that if I was a HS kid now looking at going somewhere for college that I may have chosen to go elsewhere from UW at this point

    I'm not opposed to the model, in fact the Khan academy is effective and a screaming deal. I'm just opposed to the mindset that just because one doesn't pay for something, it's actually free. Someone is usually footing the bill.
