Romney's plan more clear

The end of the Republican Party if Romney goes through with it ...
The Republicans would be better served to understand what it is in Trump that is exciting people and figure out how to embrace that going forward ...
The "silent" majority is clearly more vocal than many thought. -
If Romney's plan is really to sway the floor of the convention....... Good luck.
To quote Senator Bannon, "winners win."
-
I've been thinking about this. Really the Republican party is split. About one third of the voters want something not in the establishment. About one third want a constitutionalist. And about one third want an establishment candidate.Tequilla said:The end of the Republican Party if Romney goes through with it ...

Democrats, about half want a tax and spend liberal and about half want an establishment moderate (fuck you, look at Hilary's actual positions, they are fairly middle of the road on most subjects, only because she knows she needs to win the moderates). -
It was pretty obvious by the fact he didn't endorse anybody.
If Romney gets the establishment's backing and does this, it will destroy the Republican Party for decades. Here's the problem they have:
The establishment will have to sell the American people that their chosen candidate (Romney) is better suited than any of the candidates that were voted. In essence, you are telling your voters, that your votes don't count.
Trump would run a third party nomination, and he won't run it to win, he'll run it to destroy Romney. to a point that he'll have Romney suffocating in a giant pile of shit. I'm willing to bet Trump actually would get more votes than Romney in this case.
It would be a giant embarrassment for the GOP, and their image would be that of a joke for years to come.
If they just got on board with Trump, and lose the election, they'd get ridiculed by some, as the party that brought up Trump. But in Romney's case, he'll turn the GOP into the party that was defeated by Trump. Imagine the stories Trump will be able to tell. He can brag until his dying day that he single handedly took down an entire party. -

I'd love to see Romney get the nomination, Trump run third party, and see Bernie jump in after it's clear Hillary would moonwalk into the White House going against a fractured republican party alone. Burn the whole fucking thing down.greenblood said:It was pretty obvious by the fact he didn't endorse anybody.

What really needs to happen is for the US to drop winner take all and switch to First-past-the-post voting. -
GOP party trying to destroy itself in the last 24 hours

I agree with your first paragraph, as the establishment has no intention to stop running up the yearly debt load and actually fix things that have been broken for decades, but it's probably better to have a few rounds of tournaments in elections or else -> hello Egyptian Islamic Party.
Romney always came off as a snake-oil salesman to me, but I like him better than Hillary or Trump this year. I'd vote Sanders as my #1 tho. -
Roger Stone reported last week that the plan was for Romney to come in if Rubio faltered. He called it before anyone.
-
Romney 2012 reminds me of Hillary 2008/2016. Smug, overly confident candidate desperate to get the White House for personal satisfaction or out of some sense of entitlement.

The old rich bankers/families that make up the establishment and actually pick the president's is mighty worried about Trump and Cruz. That's plenty of reason to vote for them.
-
Agree on Trump but not on Cruz. Cruz is the con man in the race. His whole outsider shtick has been well done but he's all for continuing the empire abroad and status quo.Sledog said:The old rich bankers/families that make up the establishment and actually pick the president's is mighty worried about Trump and Cruz. Cruz has fought them face to face and in the supreme court and won. None of the others have that track record. Like all politicians we won't know until they're there. Paul Ryan comes to mind.HeretoBeatmyChest said:

This election is about whether you want to be the United States or the United Nations

None of this really matters!
We all know Obama will declare martial law before next November and will be President for eternity.
I thought this was common knowledge. No? -
Romneys plan is to lose. Again. Because he is a fucking loser.

Don't forget Christians don't like mormons. John C. Smiff is a false god.
He also spits on the poor, and that should offend the wholesome christian bunch on the right. And who better to represent the christian base other than the humble & non violent man Trump is.
Trump loves the poor and uneducated. He stands strong for all people's. -
It will all come down to a 4-4 Supreme court ruling that will stay gridlocked until the Senate confirms Obama's nomineejecornel said:None of this really matters!
