i would have loved to be in that room during that conversation

He was there for 21 years and you are going to define his career by the shit he was dealt in the last half?Passion said:
The 'Furd proved he could still bring it. -
You mean like Manase HopoiPassion said: -
"Randy Hart made more money off of Steve Emtman than Steve Emtman made off of Steve Emptman."

I call bullshit.DerekJohnson said:"Randy Hart made more money off of Steve Emtman than Steve Emtman made off of Steve Emptman."
We all know that Steve Emptman was a 1 star recruit nobody wanted.
Washington needs to praise Allah Helfrich didn't spot him first ... -
Going to practices back in the day, Randy Hart was by far the funniest corch on the field. Enough said on that.
-
Passion is right about Hart. What he did after he left means fuckall, and it doesn't have anything to do with defining his career as my fren DNC implied. It's way more simple than that. He was sucking at UW. It was time to go.
-
"Hart was a member of 10 Rose Bowl squads as a coach and player."
Nuffsed. -
I wanted him gone.
His performance at Stanford was a lesson for me about blaming lower-tier coaches. -
When Hart coached with Earle Bruce, Don James, Jim Lambright, Charlie Weis, Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw he was good.
When he coached with Gilby and Willingham he went downhill.
Enough said on that. -
Simply put, Hart was a bad-ass.
Highlights from his Stanford coaching page
Hart coached two players to All-Pac-12 honors in 2014. Fifth-year senior Henry Anderson was named to the first team with team highs of 8.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss, and former walk-on David Parry earned honorable mention honors.
Under Hart’s watch in 2014, the Cardinal defense ranked third nationally in total defense and was seventh in the country in rushing defense. The defensive line played a significant role in Stanford’s squad finishing in the top-10 in the nation in sacks for a third consecutive season and top-12 nationally for the fifth consecutive season.
In 2013, Hart coached three players to All-Pac-12 honors, including fifth-year senior Ben Gardner who was named to the first team despite missing the second half of the season with an injury. Gardner was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
Under Hart’s watch in 2013, the Cardinal defense ranked 14th nationally in total defense and was third in the country in rushing defense. The defensive line played a significant role in Stanford’s squad leading the nation in sacks for a second consecutive season.
Hart had a hand in Stanford’s NCAA-best and school-record 57 sacks in 2012. The Cardinal led the Pac-12 in scoring defense (17.21), total defense (336.21), rushing defense (97.0), sacks (4.07) and tackles for loss (9.00).
Gardner and Anderson both earned 2012 All-Pac-12 second team honors, each ranking among the top-15 in the conference and top-75 nationally in tackles for loss.
Hart was named the 2012 FootballScoop.com Defensive Line Coach of the Year.
Under Hart’s tutelage, the defensive line as played a key role in the turnaround of Stanford’s defensive fortunes. In 2011, the Cardinal led the nation in rushing defense (84.4).
During his 21-year tenure as the defensive line coach at Washington, Hart helped guide the Huskies to 12 bowl appearances, including three straight Rose Bowl trips from 1991-93. His 1991 Husky defensive unit helped the school win its first national championship.
10 Rosebowl appearances.
Kent Baer, Nik Holt, Chris Tormey...how did they fare away from the "big program"?

Hart is a great coach and a hilarious dude. The best DLs in UW history and arguably the best DLs in Stanford history. Some of you are dumb lol
edit: but LOL UNDER TY HE WAS GOING DOWNHILL. What a dumbshit argument. -
Sounds like I care.

You are right, but I still don't mind that he was chopped. He had the loser stench on him from that staff. I don't think it's a wild assumption that he did a better job at Stanford because 1) He's been coaching for a good head coach and 2) He probably was revitalized by the move.Gladstone said:Hart is a great coach and a hilarious dude. Just because someone coaches well after you fire them doesn't make firing them a bad move. If you break up with your girlfriend and she goes into fuck you mode, hits the gym, drops 50 pounds, buys a new wardrobe, gets her hair done and a boob job you'd probably wish she was still your girlfriend. The problem is she never does those things if you don't dump her lazy ass.
Just like getting dumped, getting fired can be the best thing to happen to somebody. Doesn't mean you were wrong to drop them. -

Uh, no. Clearly you haven't followed the history of this debate. For fucks sake, drop the hindsight bullshit. Our defensive line was garbage for almost ten years by the time Sark came. He would've been a damned fool to keep Hart on staff.
