Poll: Most Americans Want Redistribution of Wealth

Sounds like dfleas company has no metrics to measure an employees performance.dflea said:Most Americans are stupid and lazy so this is no surprise.
Of course, my capitalist company is full of lazy and stupid motherfuckers, and nobody fires them - they fire the people who call out the stupid and lazy motherfuckers because that's what HR-heavy companies do. There simply is no reason to work hard and produce because it's all about whose ass your nose is planted in, not what you do to pull money in.
This country is all about coddling dumbfucks and losers. It won't change until the whole shit comes crashing down and dumbfucks and lazy assholes die like they should have years ago. -
Or the metrics suck...salemcoog said:

All metrics suck
Piss me off and you're fired.
That's my metric -
I introduce you to the reason so many companies suck ass.salemcoog said:

They should beat senior managers with metrics until they either die or admit their metrics are as worthless as half their employees.

The only metric is the bottom line. Did your work contribute to making the company richer or not? Of course, it's really easy for the workers not to matter with incompetent management.

No shit? Which group?ApostleofGrief said:socialism sucks. what you get is poor management, impossible coworkers, irresponsible spending, lack of accountability. And how did I learn that? By working at the University of Washington.
I spent some time there as well... as a software dev in a central enterprise systems group...
...also did stints at Microsoft, T-Mobile, and Amazon.
To be honest, the UW was no worse than those 3 companies.... which is why I always laugh at the argument that the state wastes money.
You want to see money waste... spend some time working at Microsoft or Amazon.
What is ironic is that some view the state as so evil, that they want to hold their budgeting practices to a higher standard than what the private sector practices... giving the private sector a pass because it isn't tax payer money... yet ignoring the fact that their argument that the "private sector does everything better" argument is a pile of horse shit.

A poorly performing government takes more money from tax payers. A poorly performing company goes *poof*. HTHOZONE said:

Way to miss the point about budgets in large organizations.
BTW, none of those companies are poorly performing. -

Large corporations and government have much in common. Not the least of which is their mutual worship of 'budgets'.OZONE said:

Fuck budgets. Fuck year over year budgeting. Fuck making decisions based on what the remaining fucking budget for the year is. Fuck the use it or lose mentality those damned things promote.
I hate those goddamned things. And I hate the amount of time spent preparing and then budgets when all they really are are wild ass guesses. Government and corporations are run on WAGs.
Rant off. -

Going over budget is just part of the cost of doing business. Whether you are a private company... or a government providing essential services. -
Is this the thread where we get roofies? Axeing for a fren.

Yes this. Large corporations and governments both waste a ton of money. I had a buddy in the capital budgeting department at Boeing. They worked like 2 months out of the year.OZONE said:

For the comment that large corporations don't waste taxpayer money. Lol really? They are complaining wanting lower tax rates. Why don't they just cut some fat to become more profitable? -

Whose money do they waste, dumbass. One wastes shareholders' money, who willingly invest. If you don't like how they are run, don't invest. The other wastes taxpayer money, who have no choice. If you don't like how they are run, tough shit. Pay your taxes. A bit of a difference.2001400ex said:

Reality is, government won't stop wasting money until we get all the lobbying dollars out. Right now, Republicans are bought off by corporate welfare and military spending. Democrats are bought off by welfare spending. Neither will cut from social security or medicare.
So.... We are stuck wasting billions of dollars. FML -

Let me help both of you out. The Government is responsible for providing the highest quality of services possible based on the funding available to their programs. They report to the tax payer, not the other way around as you libs seem to believe.
Big companies and corporations are responsible to their shareholders and that is it. If the bottom line is good, the BoD and shareholders don't care about expenditures such as R and D and promotion being what some may believe to be excessive.
