    The whole gag, including the Facebook account, reeks of satire conducted by a Carolina fan. And if not, he should be writing for a satirical website as long as nobody tells him it's supposed to be satire.

    For some reason, Carolina fans REALLY hate Seattle fans. I think it's mostly because Seattle has historically dominated them in the playoffs and because Russ was taking a lot of the spotlight away from Cam.

    But yes, there's stupid fans of all teams so who knows. For example, the 49ers fans that called for regulation of the crowd noise levels at CLink.

    But why isn't this petition getting as much national attention? Simple - it doesn't fit the narrative of non Seattle fans which outnumber Seattle fans roughly 32 to 1.

    Either way, I see all of this as entertainment rather than a reason to pass judgement on anyone. Same with Cam and the 12 flags...it's just entertainment.

    Newton missed golden opportunity to establish his greatness. After grabbing the flag/banner/towel or whatever it was, if he had wiped his ass with it prior to throwing it on the turf, I'd be a fan for life.

    Showing up to cheer a loser at the airport just shows strong support. The ones that do are retarded, but in general, it's a selling point.

    A petition to ban Cam Newton from Century Link and the letter to Cam Newton from some ugly soccer mom from Tukwila are another matter.
