A few things I like about this article sans all the doog cock slobbering from A-Beach.
They have gone back to their roots. Hard play, which by a lot of idiots also is referred to as reckless (which it is not). They are actually shooting the ball well from 3 for the first time in years. AA who has been the battering ram of many(myself included) is having a banner year and should be applauded. His ability to get to the line is nearing ncaa record levels if it's not there already. They shoot 70% from the line as a team(thanks AA), but it's still much better than the previous years where FT's regularly lost us? games.
And I've said this before but I haven't seen a team with swagger like this since the IT days. They literally don't give two fucks who they are playing against. It could be UK, duke, etc and they think they can play. Granted, just like we saw against UofA all the talent/maturity isn't quite there, but it's the confidence that matters. It's the type of player UW was known as for so many years.
Tip of the cap for romar for getting a team back together that plays like they give a fuck about the jersey they wear. -

Unfortunately, they are coached by Lorenzo Romar, who is every bit as terrible as an in-game coach as he is good at recruiting. His style is not much different from Rick Barnes - stand there with a thumb in your ass while your great recruiting class tries to figure out D-1 hoops on their own, through game experience. It’s why their offense, throughout his tenure, has relied on reckless trips to the rim and wild, ill-advised 3-pointers. It’s why he consistently puts quality players in the NBA but never makes it past the sweet sixteen. It would be stunning if this year was different. -

It's still fun to dream what a real coach would do with these guys, but this team has a lot of talent. You can't deny that.

This team will probably sneak into the tourney. That doesn't make the Romar haters wrong. I anticipate a moral victory to a blue blood program in the round of 32. Just wait until the freshman get 1 year stronger and you add Fultz.
That team will probably make the sweet 16 but lose a 10 point second half lead to UCONN at the buzzer after a bizarre sequence of events that gets Murray fouled out and sees the White New Zealander give up a 4 point play. Romar gets a lifetime contract and the entire roster declares for the Draft.

All John Wooden trolling aside, I'm about ready to jump on the bandwagon. Who knows? Maybe we can make the 16s? I have no expectations and I don't care about basketball, but if we make the tourney I'll be all over that shit. Just don't expect me to care when we lose.

This team is fun to watch. haven't been able to say that about a Husky basketball team in many years.
As was mentioned before - kudos to Romar for going back to what has been successful for him. I don't think he's an awful coach (nor so I think he's great) but he had gotten really lazy the last 5 years with both coaching and recruiting. He seems to have decided that he likes coaching UW basketball again. -
