From a pure football perspective, Alabama is the best team. Clearly. Showed it all season. I just can't take any joy in it. Would have been more fun to watch faggot Dabo win.

It was a great game, though.

Stop living in the past. You've got fucktards in a park and more white supremacist/neo-nazi groups in Oregon today than in Alabama.
Give me the worst bigot in all the South, and I guarantee he's easier to get along with, for whites and blacks, than most of the self-hating, take-themselves-too-seriously, anti-social, liberal assholes running Seattle, trying to blur all distinctions between men and women, encouraging every person to play the victim card and blame others for all their ills. Face it and fuck it! Our Seattle culture fucking sucks compared to the South.
And why do you poast here?

Definitely a great game, it came down to a few plays, it could have gone either way.

I actually thought Clemson stopped them on the 3rd and goal at the end that really put the game out of reach. But that's just my anti-fascist bias probably. Same thing that makes me think coloreds should be allowed to vote just like anyone else.

That game came down to 3 blown coverages and special teams boners.

That onside kick call was epic.

I find it amusing that Dennis and I say the same thing and one gets upvotes and the other down votes ... dial another one up for reading comprehension

Congrats to Bama and Saban ... The onside kick call was the big balls moment of the game. We praise him because it worked. If it didn't and they lost, he would have been cited for losing his mind.

Btw, for those wondering, trick plays often get called by the team that needs the boost and by coach that feels that they will lose if status quo continued
    Someone sounds a little salty.
Why would I be salty? I didn't have a dog in the fight.

Picked Alabama to win in my bowl pick'em ... won my bowl pick'em.

I just find it amusing everybody blowing Alabama on this board when the difference between them and Clemson in this game was some very small margins.

True it was a great game could have went either way....but the only reason Clemsons in that game is Watson! It's a QB game and Clemson has a great equalizer with that kid,he gets hurt and they lose by 30! Bama is physically superior to every team in the country...Ohio St is close!

    Disagree.

    Poor people are the worst.

Maybe that's why I hate you.

If I assume that Bama definitely wore down Clemson physically and mentally, then you'd see that in the running game if that was true right?

Bama scored 31 points in the 2nd half:

TD #1: Howard 53 yard pass (broken coverage)
TD #2: Howard 51 yard pass (broken coverage)
TD #3: Drake 95 yard kickoff return (busted containment)
TD #4: Henry 1 yard run (set up by Howard 63 yard pass due to poor containment/tackling by replacement CB)

That's not being physically and mentally broken ... that's just flat busts by Clemson.

For the game, Alabama had 473 yards of offense. Taking Henry's large TD run in 1st half (50 yards), 3 pass plays to Howard above, and Coker's hope and prayer throw to Stewart for 38 that set up the tying FG at 24, that accounted for 255 of Bama's 473 total yards. The remaining 218 yards for Bama were over 66 plays, or an average of 3.3 yards per play.

But if you need further proof, in the 2nd half, Alabama ran the ball 18 times (planned runs excluding sacks) for a total of 33 yards.

Give credit to Alabama for taking advantage of the breakdowns in Clemson's defense and executing when given the chances. It's what championship teams do. But to act like Alabama was head and shoulders the better team, that the game was never in doubt, and that their athletic superiority guaranteed the victory is inconsistent with how the game played out.

Watson played a great game ... he missed some throws that were there for some big plays. Coker took advantage of the plays where there were opportunities.

Fully realizing that a big gainer is part of the production, but excluding Henry's 50 yard TD run, Clemson held Henry to 108 yards on 35 carries. Even with the run, Clemson's run game was actually more productive.

This game was decided by the big plays that Alabama made ... defensive busts and on special teams.
