Good stuff. That 83 team came out of nowhere to get to the Champiionship game and had beat the Raiders twice already that Season. It was the first time that anyone was really excited about the Seahawks. Sure they were entertaining before then at times with Efren Herrera running fake FG's and what not. But as the old adage goes, it's tough to beat a team 3 times in one year. The 84 Defense was awesome but wore down towards the end of the year. However if Curt Warner hadn't been injured on that Monday Night Game that no one saw to begin the 84 Season, things could have turned out different.

I was at that game, looked like that shit turf in the Kingdome played a role in taking out his knee. Surprisingly, the team ended up 12-4 without Warner, and beat the Raiders in the playoffs, but then lost to Miami, who ultimately played SF in the Super Bowl.

I agree with what you're implying, I think they would have at least won the AFC if Warner had remained healthy. San Fran was on another plane that year though, I don't think anyone from the AFC had a chance in the SB.

One of my all-time favorite players, college or pro. Can't imagine going over the middle and reaching up for one with that fucker roaming around when he was in his prime.

For my $10.95, I expect more Sark stories and less Bruin stories.
