We return so many starters on both sides of the ball, and had so many true freshman be quality contributors this year that there's no way we don't win the north next year. Sure, it's been over a decade since we have seen positive player development year to year, but this year is going to be different because I really really hope it will.

Some of the gayme mgmt issues seem overblown, but there's validity to them. I also think the playcalling magically became less stupid as guys improved and gained experience. That's not to say Smith is great or even good, but you could see the execution and fluidity were better.

I know we make fun of 9-3 but most would accept it. It's nothing to get excited over, but it's progress. Anything less might be Golden Gopher perennial second tier bullshit territory.
