On behalf of his homeboy Jaydin Mickens, VAJ happily accepts the Alamo Bowl's 1st half MVP trophy on behalf of the mighty Oregon Ducks. Special shoutout to Olivia and a Holla for Yvonne

The shocking thing to me is why Helf didn't just pound Freeman in the second half. Letting Lockie throw on first downs just kept digging them a bigger and bigger hole.

    I'm surprised that you're surprised.

They only had 5 2nd half possessions.

They ran Freeman 3 out of their 4 normal drives. The final one was a "must pass situation".

More quizzical was Helfrich repeating the stupidity of throwing on their 4th drive like he did against UW. The two incompletions were the difference between TCU using timeouts and the FG being potentially difficult.

TCU shitted on themselves with penalties and poor execution on many of their first half drives ... they could have easily walked out of the half with at least a few FGs by being anything but fucktarded in the first half.

2 of TCU's TDs in the 2nd half came on 4th down plays. I didn't think that Oregon's defense played particularly bad ... but they also didn't many many plays and as the TCU offense gained momentum and confidence, things started going in their direction.

Still up 31 at half, you have to pretty much fail to execute in all phases of the game to go to OT and lose.

What's even more shocking is Helf saw first hand UW piss away a W against his team with the same game plan: early Gaskin success shelved for an ineffective passing game - yet threw caution to the wind and suffered the biggest bowl choke in CFB history.

They had the ball late, up 3, starting deep in their own territory. Get a first down (maybe two), bleed clock out, and you win. This situation was made for a big back, and yet...

Oregon has a shitty coaching staff and an accountant for an AD. The end is near.

Who's your next team going to be? I hear Stanford is a great bandwagon for true life winners.
