Christ. Why not attack soccer as well? It has a big youth concussion problem equal to football. But soccer loving homos and libtards would never dream of that. Or maybe just not let your kids do anything they might get hurt doing. Riding in cars, on bikes, skateboards, etc.

Ever go by a school at dayend and see how many empty buses pull away?
You ever see kids riding their bikes or playing in the street? Or doing ANY type of sport without a 'coach' present?

Serious question: Can football survive, over the long haul? I have strong doubts it will even exist in twenty years.

there won't be anything left but fucking flag football in fancy uniforms and blaring jumbotronsTTJ said:Serious question: Can football survive, over the long haul? I have strong doubts it will even exist in twenty years.

Obviously, everybody on this bored loves football. But in the long run, it's hard for me to see how the sport survives this CTE thing.

Football isn't going anywhere.

Jesus. Fucking. Christ.
I'm so sick of this don't play football bullshit. What's next, don't get your license cause you might get in a car accident.
1% of kids playing football make it to the pros.
Edit: I have a daughter and would let her play. -

On top of the overwhelming demand, you will always have downtrodden areas, and groups that use sports as a way out. It won't go away. For many kids the risks of not playing outweigh the risks of playing.TTJ said:Serious question: Can football survive, over the long haul? I have strong doubts it will even exist in twenty years.

Gladiators of 2015. All they need to spice it up are the lions.

Serious answer: Football will look nothing like it does now in 20 years. IMO no helmets, shoulder pads. Will look more like rugby or 7 on 7 passing drills than what we see today.TTJ said:Serious question: Can football survive, over the long haul? I have strong doubts it will even exist in twenty years.
Final nail in coffin will be first school district to stop offering football for liability/safety issues. -
You can't remove helmets and play football.godawgst said:

Forward passes without them would get people killed...fast.
There is a reason you can only pitch/throw the ball backwards in rugby -
Wait until ISIS gets their own guys in there.Vegasdawg said:Gladiators of 2015. All they need to spice it up are the lions.

Exactly. 20 years might be too soon, but unless they can develop helmets that are sponge like and can completely protect the head against any blunt force or trauma the drumbeat to eliminate the sport/parents not letting their kids play because of safety concerns will grow louder. Thought I read 11 h.s. players have died this year. How many more were paralyzed? That's going to be the narrative going forward. -
you see him rollin, you hatin'

To nip all this bullshit in the bud, I propose to play the game without facemasks. Tackling techniques would change quickly.godawgst said:
