Does this mean that the season is finally over?
-
That podcast was seriously like
-
For realz. Great job.
The most unique cast I've ever heard. -
There are not enough awesomes. The Clay/Kinne analogy was genius.
-
How dare you kill "Hunted Down" 30s in
-
Love the new pod. Not a fan of the constant music, or the crazy reverb one of you was using.
Also, like an intro to know who the hell is talking would be nice. -
Will you just shut up and let the grown ups talk?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

Can someone mute the three loudmouths so that we can listen to the music? Fuck
-
I don't know why the music came out the way it did, we'll have to put on the tape and adjust. I think there are just some things to clean up when you put out a pod like that and this thing is a work in progress, it really is.doogville said:Love the new pod. It's hard at this level, I know sometimes people don't want to hear it, but it's hard. Really is. But, we have 24 hours to lick our wounds, watch the Clemson game and get back at it. I keep telling @CokeGreaterThanPepsi and @Tequilla that if we just trust the process, good pods will happen. -
Big shout out to @Dennis_DeYoung for his work editing and putting this this together and to @CokeGreaterThanPepsi for keeping both DDY and I inline ...
We will definitely work to make this the best pod that we can ...
Listening to it (with a little whiskey in me) objectively I'm very proud of the first installment -
I want it known that I was fucking WAYYYYYSTED during that pod.
-
Thanks Brent ... can you go back and start the lawnmower?CokeGreaterThanPepsi said:You are looking LIVE at the release of the first The Season is Over Recruiting and Football Podcast

I don't think people realize how much brilliance was left on the cutting room floor. You work all week to put good things on tape but on game day it is hard. You try to sound smart. You try to be funny. You try to bring things to the table. But it's hard. Sometimes you drop a dynamite moment. Sometimes you shouldn't talk. It's hard to learn the difference. It's particularly hard for those of us rocking more than Messicant Coke.Dennis_DeYoung said:

What the fuck am I listening to? I love it. I'm confused. I'm laughing. I feel like i'm on acid and fell into a bizarro husky trip.
-
It's funny listening to Coke on this cast vs. the hardcore husky fan cast.
On the Fan cast he sounds like HAL from a 2001: A Space Odyssey. Here he is flirting with tone inflection. Dennis' sweet southern drawl is loosening 'em up! -
That was far from an introductory podcast. That was an audio production, and a damn good one. All of your voices sounded great. The stereo thing with your voices was awesome. Only complaint is the levels of the background music. But the music itself made me laugh a few times.
For the 1st 15 minutes or so, I didn't know who was @Dennis_DeYoung and who was @Tequilla. I'm past that now. On a related note, who put the muzzle on @Tequilla. I was expecting a handful of speeches. It never happened. Grab the fucking mic and show your stripes, big boy.
Great job to all 3 of you. -
Truly unique and enjoyable. You can take the direction of the cast a lot of different ways. If you ever do live call-ins i'll be the first to dial.
-
I burst out laughing during the recruiting segment when I realized they were playing "Where the Boys Are" as they talked.

I'd say that less is more ... but who the fuck am I kidding ...HuskyInAZ said:That was far from an introductory podcast. That was an audio production, and a damn good one. There will be ebbs and flows in the pod ... there will be parts where each of us have strong opinions that will carry the segments and others where the interaction between the other members is strong enough where knowing when to sit to the side is best ...
@CokeGreaterThanPepsi and @Dennis_DeYoung are far more TBS experts than I am ... not saying that I won't have opinions from time to time but that's their wheelhouse ...
When it comes to big picture items, having a plan, and general State of the Union stuff, that's where you'll probably get more from me. Considering that I was in route to traveling to the Baylor vs TCU game during the Apple Cup, they're both going to clearly have more opinions on the game than I would have given that they watched it versus I listened to it.
As has been mentioned a few times already, anytime you start something like this there's a learning curve that you hit as you try to figure out the rhythm and cadence to what you are doing. If Coke and DDY are making great points and all I have to add is "I agree" I'll let them go as it's more important to get that discussion ...
Appreciate the comments, feedback, and the listen. I'm being at least 81% serious when I say that I'm very happy with the first edition of the podcast ... we hit a lot of topics while also keeping it at least IMO light hearted and entertaining. -
Super solid premier poodcast, discussion about the defense turning into headhunters got me all chubbed up
Looking forward to hearing the Pease reaction and if we can regroup and salvage the WR class
BTW hard 8 was a big deal 5+ years back, but the premium BBQ game in dallas has picked up. Pecan Lodge, Slow Bone, ten50, all the new hotness when it comes to brisket. -
Did I get a shout out?

Jaydon Mickens Hot Talk. Quentin Richardson All Stars. I am fucking rolling.
