LSU was horrible in the early 90s. They were almost as bad as Washington was in the 2000s. Now they seriously thought about canning a guy who is 111-32 with two NCs? That would be dumber than Tennessee canning Fulmer. It's seven years later and they're just now starting to recover.
If Les came to USC, he's the best coach in the conf. and it's not even close.
Go ask Nebraska how getting rid of a coach who averaged 10 wins a year (Solich) is working out 10 plus years later.
If I was Nebraska any school outside the top 5 I would kick the tires with Les Miles agent just to see what they say.
I'd agree, but the list of jobs Les would seriously consider is less than 10 and Saban/Harbaugh/Meyer aren't going anywhere, so it's essentially down to USC/TEXAS/Nebraska and hon. mention to Sparty (maybe Mark D. wants to get paid in the NFL, or SC/Texas throw the bank at him) and Georgia.
If I was Les, I'd wait for Texas to come open and then tell LSU to suck it.
His agent should already be floating the idea with Texas and USC.
USC and Haden should buy him out. If he wants to keep his job at USC Haden is on the plane this weekend. Les Miles has to know his time at LSU is done, even if he wins he losses. At USC he can retire and ride off into the sunset with a golden paycheck

Now it is Les Miles' play. Period.
