Yes, let's follow their economic policy too. Zero growth in 25 years. And you bitch about Obama's economy.

Way to jump to a completely different subject retard.
The best part is,, you don't understand how the two are related.

You see, Japan has had steady to declining population do to xenophobia and an aging society. You can't have growth without more people, consumption doesn't come from thin air. In other words, if we do the same here, it will have terrible consequences on our economy.

It's clear you don't get it.
Permanent vs temporary. Close the gates until ISIS is handled, then open the gates back up. When another ISIS arrives, close the gates again.

Also, you get a stagnant population when you set child birth limits on people like China is doing. As long as people procreate like we are, you're not declining. You may slow population, but that really isn't a bad thing, as that helps us better manage our resources.

Or population growth is already slow the last 10 years. With aging baby boomers and younger adults preferring call of duty over sex, our population is not growing at a high rate.

We'll need to learn to financially grow with a stagnant population at some point. Eventually you'll grow to point where the resources can't support it.

I was in Japan this summer, and while I think there are some truths to the article the OP cited and their xenophobic immigration policies, I think the answer as to why they have less terrorism might be due any number of other things. I know the country is still reeling from the Tokyo Subway Sarin attacks, even after all these years. Plus they're starting to ramp up security for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games. The Japanese are pretty hyper vigilant when it comes to ordinary street crime (kobans, or police boxes, are all over the place in big cities), so I imagine that their counter-terrorism folks jump on any signs of a threat right away. Plus, the homogeneous society quickly makes any outsider and/or usual behavior stick out like a sore thumb, and the Japanese jump on that right away since they're still all about conformity for the most part.

But that's just this dumb gaijin's opinion.
