Actually didn't realize until scanning that article that Bob Gregory is on the staff. Always liked him at Cal, nice to see him doing well even if it is at a conference opponent.

Yeah and our 4-4 record says we're a team with a very good D but a bad offense.
If Kwiatkowski leaves, it will probably be for MWC HC position in a few years rather than a lateral move to Utah or SC.topdawgnc said: -

These coaches already get their dicks sucked so hard by Woodward; boating around in Seattle, high class, low expectations, all in contrast to living in Boise Idaho. No one's leaving unless it's a p5 head coaching job. Nobody even cares enough about uw to notice the defense, and college football to most of these dickhead ADs means offense.

Lawyer Milloy nailed it. What makes a great defense is how hard they hit. Obviously there is more that goes into it, but great defenses always hit hard.

I think Woodward would like a great football team, but he's not dying to have one. As long as football remains profitable enough to fund the tennis and softball programs, he'll be happy and the new UW prez will probably be happy.

They should have mentioned the defense is #1 in the 4th quarter D according to Bill Connelly's S+P. The defense is 46th in 3rd down (S+P) and that is where they need to improve.
As a result of the D, the offense has had three chances for comeback victories.
To keep the momentum going, this team will need the defense to win the game on its own (kind of did against USC) or the offense will have to put together a 2nd half or 4th quarter drive. -
