I ripped him for being full of fluff, but then I considered that I've only read about three of his columns and I should be a bit more patient and fair. Calkins is absolutely fucking terrible. Awkward, clumsy metaphors... and totally lacking in any original/thoughtful insight. He makes Roof look like F. Scott Fitzgerald.
