As much as we all want to blame the AD, the reality is non-conference scheduling has moved in this direction. Its harder and harder to do the A-B-C thing. I wish we would just schedule UNLV, Idaho, San Diego St, Utah St, Wyoming, etc instead of the lower tier schools.RoadDawg55 said: -
There is no benefit to playing an "A" team except for the fans and ticket holders.
Schedule patsies and try and run the Pac 12 table....you do that and you are in the playoff. -
Kick all fag schools out of D1, ban scheduling between divisions, and institute promotion and relegation with 16 team playoffs for each division.

It's more like scheduling patsies in order to win 8 games and keep your job, but yeah.HuskyJW said:There is no benefit to playing an "A" team except for the fans and ticket holders.

That's why I wish the playoff committee would weigh the OOC heavily, like say 25%, since it is a quarter of the schedule.HuskyJW said:There is no benefit to playing an "A" team except for the fans and ticket holders.

It matters. Ask Baylor and TCU. When the PAC 12 doesn't make it this year maybe the light wil go on. Or notwobidbus said:

If Baylor wouldn't have blown the WVU game last year they would have been in... Their strategy of shit OOC scheduling and winning out would have worked and got them to the Playoff.RaceBannon said:

If Petersen had balls he wouldn't punt. With a better non conference schedule the loss to WVU doesn't matterCokeGreaterThanPepsi said:

There will never be 4 P-5 unbeaten teams. The committee will have to look at schedule. -
Miami and UW are showing that it's hard.
