    Go higher. The president works for the BOR.

    The BOR has been of the mindset to be the Vanderbilt of the west since 1991.

    I don't buy that...its a cop-out answer. The CEO of McDonalds doesn't directly care if one McDonalds in Walla Walla give Fleenor a shitty Big Mac. They are levels above the people who should care.

    The AD should care...our AD is shitty at his job. The President who is the AD's supervisor should care...and our presidents have been trainwrecks for the last how many years.

    The CEO of McDonald's would care if the Walla Walla store was the highest profile in the nation and a book called "Big Macs and Ruins" was published with massive amounts of press about illegal and unethical activity at the store.

    Don't be so naive. The direction of the athletic department is set at the highest levels.

    An telling quote from 2008...

    But Emmert said the attributes that would allow someone to be a good fit “shifts over time.”

    He hinted that what the school needed now was someone who could better raise funds for the department. Sources told the Times that some of the big-money donors to the school had also had doubts about Turner’s ability to raise the funds needed for big projects.

    Would be nice if a UW President would decide the attributes of a good fit have shifted to be something more than just a fundraiser...

    Petersen is responsible but Smith is the target because he's more easily replaced. If they fire Petersen, FMFYMEFUW

    "real" coaches are too smart to go down with the ship and fire assistants, as necessary, to preserve their jobs. Peterman will be no different.

    That's easy.

    Win = Funds raised

    Win big = Financial windfall

    In the mean time let's focus on fashion shows to drive attendance.
