Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.

To all the Smith haters.

Fuck off.

The problem is at the top.

Smith is a fucking intern.

Peterman makes the calls, trains his underling, and approves the plays.

Smith is only doing as he is told.

And then go a step higher. Woody doesn't know enough about football to challenge Peterman to make him change his game.

Somebody needs to tell Peterman this isn't a petri dish to prove BSU wasn't a farce. This is big time football and his offense fucking sucks. There is no learning curve.

Yes the problem is at the top. It isn't Smith's fault that he isn't a better OC. It is Pete's fault for keeping him. It has been reported that Pete never fired a coordinator before (because they always get hired away). This is probably the first coordinator Pete's had that can't do the job and Pete doesn't know how to handle the situation.

Pool Boy was hired by UW in 2004.

Both 0-12s are all on him.

But how is Pool Boy a bad AD?
it's even worse than I thought

Pool boy was involved in the athletic department well before 2008 when he became the AD...he got involved via the stadium pretty much soon after he showed up on campus and tried to get the legislature to foot the bill.

And as he was fundraising and such for the stadium/athletic department I'm sure he was one of the main birds in Emmert's ear about keeping Ty for the 2008 season.

Go higher. The president works for the BOR.

The BOR has been of the mindset to be the Vanderbilt of the west since 1991.

I don't buy that...its a cop-out answer. The CEO of McDonalds doesn't directly care if one McDonalds in Walla Walla give Fleenor a shitty Big Mac. They are levels above the people who should care.

The AD should care...our AD is shitty at his job. The President who is the AD's supervisor should care...and our presidents have been trainwrecks for the last how many years.

The CEO of McDonald's would care if the Walla Walla store was the highest profile in the nation and a book called "Big Macs and Ruins" was published with massive amounts of press about illegal and unethical activity at the store.

Don't be so naive. The direction of the athletic department is set at the highest levels.

    An telling quote from 2008...

    http://www.seattletimes.com/sports/turner-resigns-as-uw-athletic-director/

But Emmert said the attributes that would allow someone to be a good fit “shifts over time.”

He hinted that what the school needed now was someone who could better raise funds for the department. Sources told the Times that some of the big-money donors to the school had also had doubts about Turner’s ability to raise the funds needed for big projects.

Would be nice if a UW President would decide the attributes of a good fit have shifted to be something more than just a fundraiser...

Petersen is responsible but Smith is the target because he's more easily replaced. If they fire Petersen, FMFYMEFUW

"real" coaches are too smart to go down with the ship and fire assistants, as necessary, to preserve their jobs. Peterman will be no different.

If you cant see Smith is grooming young players for future success, then I can't help you. Nice balanced combination of of run/pass/punt....

    That's easy.

    Win = Funds raised

    Win big = Financial windfall

In the mean time let's focus on fashion shows to drive attendance.

Uh... What? Robert prince, Pete's last offensive coordinator, was DOA as soon as he took the UW job.

The concern shouldn't be that Pete is too loyal, the concern is that after two consecutive coordinators put a shitty product on the field, maybe the problem is the head coach's offensive philosophy.

    This.

Peterman needs OKG's to make his offense go.

My only hope, and hope is all I have right now, is that with so many freshman playing we will see a strong finish to the year ...

And then 2017 will be fucking special.

Jesus I hate my fucking football life.

If you think you could do a better job as AD why don't you submit your fucking resume?

@WhiskeyDawg did that. He was right then and he is right now.

Smith won a Fiesta Bowl and popped off, and all it took was Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmazahdhahdaha, and Ken Simonten. Maybe all this offense needs are 2 NFL All-Pro caliber wide receivers ??

Fuckers wouldn't even give me a "thank, but no thanks" letter.

You have to keep going. Someone hired the guy who hired the guy who hired Petersen. Then don't stop there cause someone hired them too. Eventually I realized I should be fired and am a fag for paying taxes. Fuck.
