Can't be expected to recruit a capable back up when you have a 3 year starter. Now that there is a need, just wait till Helf gets his own guy in there. He needs more time.

He was going to redshirt anyway but also go injured and required season ending surgery. Yeah, he's supposed to be good but who really knows until it's show time. Waller-Jonsen and Taylor Alie (he of that long TD run this year) are all we have in queue excepting for Mahalak who is fading for lack of desire it seems. Can't count Lockie. Ugh. Perhaps he will develope into a good one by next season but I doubt it. Hope there is a JC transfer out there.
