I will be surprised if we give up 40+ (or even 38 since I'm numerically challenged today) to SC unless the offense is just gifting points away.
SC has struggled to run the ball the entire year and I don't see any reason why that will change.
And as we have seen, SC is really good at shooting itself in the foot with penalties, etc. -

The ability to hang with top 25 teams past half time matters. It gives a gauge to see if the team is progressing or regressing.
Recruits watch games. If you don't think they know that a team that loses by 6 to a top 25 is different than a team that loses by 40, you are crazy.
There is a general focus by some of the fan base on a handful of plays that went wrong. We lost, that will not change, but throwing the baby out with the bath water seems to be the MO of some Coug fans lately. This team is a .500 team. The D looks better than they have in years. Our special teams were not destroyed like they were last year. We have a running game. We lost, it sucks, move on.
