What does it say about the strength of a conference when you can win 7 straight national titles with such shitty quarterbacks?

Again, great running game, stout defense, and average QB play in CFB >>>>>>> Than a quarterback molded from the semen of Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and Russell Wilson.

Up voted for being right and a sick bastard. Cheers.

By the way, works in the NFL too. The Baltimore Ravens and Trent Dilfer say hi.

Takes a great team to win a championship. Takes more than a great QB to be a great team. Period.

Dan Fouts was a great QB with great receivers, ok to shitty running backs, a really good scheme, good playcalling. an adequate offensive line, a shitty defense, and not one RING!!!!!

You have to have the right combination of staff, players, coaches, decision making, lack of injuries, etc. to win a ring.

That combination has to be aggregately better than every other team that one year.

Agree. Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Warren Moon, NFL hall of famers who didn't win an NFL Championship. Still, there are far more Namath's, Bradshaw's, Montana's, Aikman's, Elway's, Brady's, etc., on the winning side than there are Dilfer's.
