ESPN LA radio has the uber Trojan honk on at noon. Mason or Ireland, not sure who is who. He's saying no way does a coach not get 3 years. I support this position.
Callers want him fired today. Can't blame them.
Mason says even if USC loses to ND, UCLA, and Stanford he gets year 3 if he wins 8 games. He's going all Trooj about Carroll going 6-6 his first year.
I love it. We need to support this position.

Honestly, it takes 4-5 years to REALLY judge a coach.
Especially with the sanctions Sark inherited. -
They won't lose to ND....they will to UCLA and Oregon though at least.
-
PLSS thinks Sark will win something and needs AT LEAST 5 years. We should all listen to him.

Pat Haden's secretary would also like to talk positions. 213-740-3843

Haden would be well served to give him an extension right now through the 2020 season so Sark knows he has the full support of the SC upper campus.

It takes at least 4-5 years to get your guys in their and really build the culture. With sanctions though that number is 8-9 years (can't expect to compete with sanctions).

Dick Baird said it takes 5-8 years to judge how a coach is doing with a recruiting class.

You can't fire coach while he's in treatment. At least not until he's done with his 12 steps.

You can't really start to judge a coach until after year 3 when he fires his defensive coordinator to save his ass. So really, Sark's first real year will be 2017. In his true 3rd year (2019), you should start to get a good idea what kind of coach he is. I hear 2021 will be special.
