If you change your Facebook avatar to a superhero, it will help cure childhood cancer.
I guess if you change your avatar to Lex Luther, Penguin, or Joker (maybe some of you 40 yr olds who are still infatuated with comics can help out with more villains), the cancer will win.

I saw some dumb shit on facebook yesterday telling women who are victims of domestic abuse but cant speak to anyone about it because "he is always watching you" to draw a big black dot on their hand to let other people know.
Of course they're missing the logical conclusion that, if this were the case
A ) the abuser probably monitors your facebook; and
B ) he'll beat the shit out of you and lock you in your room when he sees the dot on your hand -
I just don't get this stuff

I just don't get what it accomplishes, besides annoying people and making people who participate think that a 30 second act will do something.
Raise awareness? Well, most people already know kids (and adults) get cancer...it's terrible, but somehow if I have Batman as my avatar, it's going to help? -
