I'm too lazy to look up the spread, but it wouldn't shock me to see this game a little closer than most think. The first game, in Blacksburg (the enter the sandman entrance is awesome), and w/o a handful of studs including next drafts likely #1 pick Bosa.
Then again, tOSU goes 3 deep with 5 stars, they have Urban, Beamer still coaches VT, and Mike Vick is out of eligibility. -

If you bet for the underdog against the top 5 teams in the country the first few games you unusually will win over 60% of the time. Fans from the top 5 teams really push those spreads up for their team right before game time as they Sark up their pre-game alcohol. Wait to make these bets until just before game time.
The biggest improvement in teams occurs in the first game, and then in the second some, as the offenses start to get in sync. The fans of the really good teams expect their teams to score 60 etc. -
VT got good because they were in the Big Least and then the ACC. Miami and FSU have had a ton of ordinary teams in that time. Who else was/is there? Pitt? Clumpson? GA Tech? LOL

I live in Vegas, so it's easy and realistic for me to do this, but I'm not really sure if the lines move as much online. I''ve seen lines move 5-6 points right before the game for those big-time favorites. -
