But why has no one ever given 2.5 fucks about Wazzu?salemcoog said:
When any team is on top or near the top for a number of years People do give a shit. When they go through a dry spell People don't care how good they were Even 8-10 years prior. The only exception to that rule is Notre Dame.Dennis_DeYoung said:The problem with Miami is even when they're great, no one gives a shit. If USC had only started being good in 1984, it would be the same deal. No one in Miami gives a shit. It's essentially a waste of a good team.
Alabama was dreck for a good 10-12 years until Saban came to town and no one talked about them. Nebraska was elite for 30 years until Osborne retired. Who gives a fuck about them anymore. SC sucked ass for almost 10 years before Petey came around and no one cared about them then.
With the exception of ND. If you don't dominate then no one outside ur region could give 2.5 fucks about you.

Please to be submitting that I couldn't find any " tier two " teams that have gone 24 years since their last outright conference title.

So Colorado, Minnesota, Syracuse and Washington are 2nd tier teams despite none of them having more than one very good Season in the last 24 years???
Live in the past much Doog? -
If you're talking about people under 25 and very casual fans, sure. Real fans are at least aware of all the blue bloods. BTW, all blue bloods go through down spells. Maybe Coogit losers don't follow such things. Go turn on FS1, FS2, or Fox Sports Radio. They're promoting the hell out of Michigan/Utah. Neither team is ranked or expected to exceed a fourth tier bowl game named after a bland chain restaurant, hunger, or military contractor. Michigan hasn't been elite for 8-10 years. Noone ever cares about Utah. Obviously there's interest.salemcoog said:
