the only people who write on the internet that they ate at Daniel's broiler are people who can't afford to eat at Daniel's broiler.

Some people think a strip club in Portland has good steak. It make me LOL!!!!jecornel said:Interior is outdated and crusty. the 60 dollar steak was barely better than my 12 dollar steak 3 days prior.

It's good for $6 and some entertainment.MikeDamone said:

There is good steak, and there is not good steak...if you have to qualify it with price and/ or other stuff, it falls into the not good steak category.DeepSeaZ said:It's good for $6 and some entertainment.

Disagree. I buy a steak for $10-20 a pound and cook it at home just the way I want it. Great steak. But I can get the same steak for $60-80 at a restaurant. Just as good, rarely better. For me, there value aspect in the discussion. The steak never tastes as good as it should when I know I can make it just as good, if not better, for far less money. And I'm never late with my drink order. If I take "value" out of the equation then I totally agree. Except I can't go to the Met and get titties in my face while I eat my steak. Fuck you Seattle. This needs to change.MikeDamone said:

Umm... like I said...there is good steak, and not good steak. If you have to say, It was a good steak for $6", then it's not good steak. It's good, or not good, no matter the price. And the $6 steaks at the strip club might be good for $6, but they aren't good when measured against good steak.DeepSeaZ said:Disagree. Simple fact. -
You sound like someone I know. You have always been an a**holecreepycoug said:what?
Whether you can afford Daniel's or not doesn't matter to me. What Daniel's is charging for is atmosphere, is which a thumbs down and good steak. Fail.
I think the expectation is if you pay 50 bucks or more for a cut of meat that it should be pretty pretty good. To each their own though.

I think you are my first whoosh on this board ... not that I ever get too many.jecornel said:

Acrop steak is the best steak. $6 and tits. End of discussion.
-
I had a good steak at Jak's Grill a couple weeks ago. I'd heard of it, kept wanting to try it, and was satisfied. Not trendy or fancy like the rest, but a good descent steak.
-
Acro steak sucks. Simple fact.
-
subjective.

Yeah, but it's $6 and you can see boobs!!!DeepSeaZ said:subjective.

People who argue about steakhouses on a message board are the cuntiest.
Right now there's a guy out in the woods eating a bear, which he killed himself, to survive. Think about that. -
He made a choice. Bear steak sucks.Rancid said:

Yeah, but still. The steak there blows by any measure of a good steak.Rancid said:People who argue about steakhouses on a message board are the cuntiest.

My idea of a perfect night -
Drive to Bellevue. Check into the Westin. Snort some cocaine. Buy an Asian hooker. Fuck her. Leave. Go to John Howie Steak. Order the American Wagyu New York cut. Go back to the Westin and pass out. -
Daniels is overrated, they used to be better but the last few times I've been there the steaks haven't been amazing and one of them was so full of gristle it was barely edible. They aren't the best steak in town; personally I'd say El Gaucho, John Howie, and tie for 3rd with the Met and Capitol Grille.
-
as far as seattle steak goes....
John Howie is #1. El Gaucho/Capital Grille tied for #2 (El Gaucho has better atmosphere, Capital Grille has better food).
everything else out there can only wish to be #3, nothing greater. -
The one in Leschi used to be good back in the day. But, I have no idea what's going on w/ Schwartz Bros restaurants these days. Average at best, considering the price point
