OK, can't say I remember Central Florida's QB situation 5 years ago. I'll give you Pryor, Barkley and Kolb, Taylor. Ball State/Kent Stat 7-10 yrs ago? Please tell me you don't remember the back-ups on those teams. But when Briles took over Baylor they were an absolute dreck. I would be willing to bet Magna Carta or the Svede are better than RG3s backups in 2008NeGgaPlEaSe said:I think some here have their head so far up their ass about freshman they can't see daylight. Christian Hackenberg was amazing as a true freshman. There are things that can't be taught, like pocket presence, awareness and reading routes know were receivers will be and the defense will not. This comes natural to some. For Cyler Myles it did not.
Here is a short list of true Freshman Qb's that were successful by statistical analysis. I'm almost certain all of these schools had better options at Qb than Linquist and Magna
Jeffrey Godfrey UCF 2010
Terrelle Pryor Ohio St 2008
Matt Barkley USC 2009
Kevin Kolb Houston 2003
Robert Griffin Baylor 2008
Tyrod Taylor Virginia Tech 2007
Nate Davis Ball St 2006
Spencer Keith Kent St 2009 -
Not saying he was accurate, don't twist. Just that he could hit guys in stride. Reggie against Whoregon (lol), the pass to beat the Dynasty.DerekJohnson said:Pickett never struck me as particularly accurate.
Sure, guys had to grab them off the shoetops, but they weren't late.

John David Weed
Bears picked up a commitment from 4-star recruit in JUCO QB John David Weed.
After spending his first season in the Baylor program as a reserve quarterback, John David Weed moved to inside receiver during spring practice and is listed No. 1 on the Bears' depth chart at the "big slot" receiver position.
Meaning RGIII started as a true frosh and they moved his upperclass ass to receiver.

I also remember Pickett overthrowing a WIDE OPEN Reggie WIlliams on 4th down at Arizona in 2003 that would have won the game, back when losing to them was unacceptable.Alexis said:

But I'll bet the throw was on time thoughDerekJohnson said:

When has it ever been acceptable to lose to Arizona?
Never.
Especially with first-and-10 near midfield, 90 seconds to play and a 26-24 lead. -

I'm particularly interested in Damian Turpin, Corey Fuvai and Trevor Walker

Also, I'd just like credit for the Sankey II shit, because I started it on dm. Please direct credit this way. <------------
Don't worry about me not liking Browning (I did since I followed him on twitter you assholes!) and Pounds is going to have to fucking prove it.
The one thing that I will say about Pete, though, is that his kids looked fucking good last year. No bullshit. -

I hope we caught them off guard with a bubble screen. -
Remember when doogman fuckwads were saying we needed a 'splash' tailback in the class and that Gaskin was 'solid, but not like Chris Warren!'?
They really couldn't be stupider if their minds were made from cat feces. -
I should have given you credit on the Sankey 2.0, my bad! Although I'm pretty sure I love him even more than you.
-
I'm not into bashing pickett, he's the last QB to keep us together. He was good for the program.
-
The fact that doogman fucktards agreed with Eklund's fake rationale that Sark was testing Sankey for toughness, or that they thought Mickens was going to come in and be the original two wins, or that Andrew Kirkland wasn't a fucking worthless shell of vomit, or that Nathan Dean had more upside than fucking Josh Garnett tells you everything you need to know about those fucking degenerates. It is obviously a fact that everyone on that bored should get fucking AIDS and die. I literally want to kill all of them. Just give me a fucking scythe and let me do it. I only need a couple minutes of that fucktarded bullshit to turn me into a murderous psycho. After just reading the bored for 3 minutes I feel like I could make Jim Jones look like Mother Theresa.
God dammit. I need a fucking drink. I fucking hate those assholes. They literally deserve to die. God, those POSes have killed our program with their fucktarded expectations, retarded, convoluted coach-worship crap and acceptance of faggy mediocrity. They should all fucking die. -

Why do you hate @TheChart? -
Its go
Warren in his highlights looked like he was running against defenders that were a foot shorter. Wanted to get him but I wouldnt be surprised if he turns out to be a bust.Dennis_DeYoung said:Remember when doogman fuckwads were saying we needed a 'splash' tailback in the class and that Gaskin was 'solid, but not like Chris Warren!'?

He's starting for Texas right now but that doesn't mean he won't be a bust.HeretoBeatmyChest said:Its go

I just read he's third string, but still. And I didn't know Texas wasn't going to recruit more RB's in the upcoming years either.whatshouldicareabout said:

In other words you just plagiarizmed puppys shit from signing day then spring. Fuck odearCokeGreaterThanPepsi said:My notes:
Really focused on the Petersen recruits today (True sophomores, RS freshmen and Tremue freshmen)
Browning has highest ceiling of the QBs, it's not really close. He made some terrific throws today, no picks for him either. One TD was about a 25 yard throw to back pylon and he fired it in on a line right over the db's head and into the arms of the WR, receiver barely had to lift his arm. Just beautiful.
Browning is a really interesting QB, really advanced in small details. Does a great job feeling the pocket, keeps his eyes downfield well and really understands safe throws. I have a feeling he'll be the type of QB that goes: 5 yard completion, RB run, 8 yard completion, 6 yard completion, 8 yard completion, RB run, 25 yard completion. He kinda lulls the defense and takes a shot.
Myles Gaskin is Bishop Sankey 2.0, I honestly think he is already the best natural RB on the team.
Petersen spent half the scrimmage on ST. I know it's against scout team, but I think our return game now, and especially in the future will be dynamic with the guys they have.
Mcgary, Adams, Burleson, Hilbers, Roberts, Sossebee... Really hard not to doog about the future of the OL.
Defense will be better as a unit this year. I think they're underrated.
Pounds, McClatcher, Renfro all play this year at WR.
I think the coaches love #MyTevis, he was on the backup punt protect team and he was the main protector, that is a ton of trust in a true freshmen to make the proper calls. He also happens to be good at football.
Freshmen that are not red shirting, imo: Gaskin, Joyner, Renfro, Tevis, McClatcher, Pounds, Adams, Browning. I think they might be able to redshirt Potoa'e (depth in front of him is pretty solid, he looks terrific though).
McClatcher will be a hardcore Husky favorite by the time the year is over. Unless he sucks. But he won't.
@Dennis_DeYoung will have to eat his words on My boi, Quinten Pounds.
Wouldn't worry about kicking game at this point, they had Three snappers getting reps today, including our own #DisslyDawg.
Greg Gaines had a good day, I really like our front and the depth they have. Lots of good talent.
I think Mickens was sick today, he came out late and didn't have his usual overly enthusiastic energy during pregame.
String cut his dreads and Adams mullet is just glorious.
The season is over, but if this team improves as the year goes on I'll be very happy. There are some ballers in Petermans first two classes.
With that said, I think we win the north by the 2017 season. I think we have the QB in line and everything else is coming into shape nicely too. -
Subliminal clue? Or, are they dialed in?puppylove_sugarsteel said:

This thread fucking delivers everything that makes Hardcore Husky great. Solid football analysis (from multiple contributors), plenty of repetitive inside jokes that are still funny after 230 tims and a random appearance from PLSS.
Kim thought inside jokes took away from REAL content, so he gave his customers neither. Stalin gives us abundance.
Stalin (ILTCHS) for President! -
