Pete is trolling.

Chip and Sark 101
-
This is either amazing trolling...
Or Woodward made a huge fucking mistake. -
Also love that he mentions sark & not smith. Fuck.

Yeah don't think I am cool with that quote. Lots of small timey quotes from CCP recentlydoogville said:This is either amazing trolling...

If true, it could explain what he sees in Jonathan Smith
-
I pray to god this is an attempt by Pete to make sure Sark continues to call the plays at USC.
-
That's because Smith is even worse.doogville said:Also love that he mentions sark & not smith. Fuck.

He coached against Sark twice and probably thought Sark called a few good or interesting plays. It's a good way to balance out the criticism on the lack of discipline.
-
Sounds like some of you are twisting.
-
Pete just nicely said 'Sark has no business on the sideline and should be up in the booth as an assistant.'

Play calling is pretty overrated. I get as pissed as anyone else about Jonathon Smith calling a reverse to Mickens that loses 10 yards when Shaq is getting 7+ every carry, but still. I've seen Chip Kelly and Urban Meyer make some fucking stupid calls too. Sometimes it's not even stupid but the DC calls the perfect defense for a specific play.
Dipshits like Sark and Charlie Weis think they are Allah's gift and their great play calling will win games. No play calling can consistently mask a shitty OL and other sloppy play.
Oregon knew what was coming against Ohio State and couldn't stop it. UW knows what's coming when they play Oregon but are still helpless. Every person watching the game knew Stanford was going to run off tackle in the 2011 game against UW where Stanford ran for like 500 yards. Every team that played Florida knew Tebow was going to run it on 3rd and short. Same for Auburn and Newton. No team is good because their "play calling" is so much superior to other teams. -

Play calling looks great when the play works -
No, but bad playcalling will sure as hell lose you some games. Hi Sark! Hi Shaw! Hi Leach!RoadDawg55 said:Play calling is pretty overrated. Or was the Patriots' defensive call just PERFECT???
-
Here is all you need to know about play calling. David Shaw is one of the worst play callers I've eve seen and he's been the three BCS Bowls in four years. The Seahawks are perennial Super Bowl contenders with Darrell Bevell calling plays. And Bevell's dumb ass did lose the game. But so did Kearse's third down drop when up 14. Giving up a 3rd and 15, etc.
