Ty Lawson's DUI to Houston. Pretty meh. I think this will make them a better regular season team but worse playoff team. The idea of them starting Lawson and Harden vs the Warriors is laughable.
Spurs sign Jimmer Fredette. He'll be an all star in two years.

Awesomed for breaking the discussion page with that subject line.

of the Coney Island Fredettes?

The collapse of the Spurs empire is complete

Somebody has to give Becky Hammond the lana esirpus.

If there is a team that Jimmer can be productive with, it is the Spurs

I don't think adding Lawson is going to push the Rockets over the top, but they upgraded without giving up anything. They already resigned Beverly. So barring injury, they will have Lawson and Beverly manning the point instead of Jason Terry and Prigioni.

Harden will still be handling the rock most of the time, but it gives them the option of going super defensive with Beverly or explosive with Lawson. It's a pretty damn good backcourt imo. If Dwight Howard was the superstar they think he is that is a serious contender. But he isn't.
I really like Montrezl Harrell though, he could be the annoying hustle player that cleans up around the rim, not to mention he might have easy dunks working the backside if teams are doubling down on Dwight. -
Harrell will be garbage. He's not getting PT on that team. His offensive game sucks anyways. Terrence Jones and the foreign big guy who was hurt in the playoffs are way better. Capela will be a good center too. Nobody doubles Dwight on the block anymore. Just let him do his thing and foul if you have to.Doogles said:Harden will still be handling the rock most of the time, but it gives them the option of going super defensive with Beverly or explosive with Lawson. Lawson's best value will be in running the show when Harden is on the bench
