UW used to beg for money via mail. I guess they do it digitally now and lost Bill's email address (no complaints), or figured out I'm a liberal arts major. Anyway, about 2-5 years ago, they sent their usual sob story newsletter to garner scholarship contributions, and one of them was about José, whose family picked apples, or cherries in Cashmere or Wenatchee or some desert wasteland turned farm. What stood out (but shouldn't have) was that he was aspiring to get into dental school, but because his family moved back and forth between Central Wash and Jalisco every six months, it was extremely difficult. It's the kind of shit the Puget Sound bleeding heart liberals (I'm a racist liberal) eat up, because they're insulated, naive, and want to brag to their friends about how they helped the Latinos. I get it's probably not the child's fault they move, but transitory, probably illegal aliens with one foot in each cuntry need to make up their minds about where to live. Needless to say I didn't give them shit (it's a god damn PUBLIC university anyway).
