“My aspiration for the country and I believe we can achieve it, is 4 percent growth as far as the eye can see. Which means we have to be a lot more productive, workforce participation has to rise from its all-time modern lows. It means that people need to work longer hours” and, through their productivity, gain more income for their families. That's the only way we're going to get out of this rut that we're in.”

A 2014 Gallup poll found that already many Americans employed full-time report working, on average, 47 hours a week, while nearly 4 in 10 say they work at least 50 hours a week.

How about removing the Obamacare punishment for employing people full time. Move the 29.5ers to full time, and we may be headed in the right direction. But then again, the 29.5 hour work week is a right wing lie, right?

Show me evidence that the workforce has transitioned from full time to part time the last two years as a result of obamacare.

Albeit anecdotal evidence, my son is currently employed by a civil engineering company here in AZ on a summer internship. His work week is 29.5 hours/week. Where do you think that number came from?

I'd love to only work 29.5 hours/week. 4 day weekends would be sweet.

That transition started 15 years ago.

People show you evidence pretty much every time you ask for it. Then once you get fucking destroyed that way you just pretend you never saw it, go "that's your source?", or interpret it in some retarded way that makes no sense to try and support your delusional stances.

You are seriously the fucking stupidest person I have ever come across.
Then provide a link with actual facts, not daily caller bullshit that I've shown multiple times lying.

Show me the obamacare causality. Obamacare is based on full time equivalents. I have no doubt your story is true, as many businesses have benefits to full time employees such as 401k and vacation not provided to part time employees. Obamacare is not the cause.

A employer who doesn't understand the law? An employer may consider an individual to be a seasonal employee if:

•The typical length of employment for the position is 6 months or less, and
•The period of employment begins at approximately the same time each year.

Seasonal employees may not need to be treated as full-timers even if they will work 30+ hours of service per week during the season. Employers can set up measurement periods which can be as long as 12 consecutive months (i.e. longer than the season) to track hours. By doing so, many employers can avoid having to offer healthcare coverage after 90 days of service to seasonal workers who work 30+ hours of service per week.

Anecdotally speaking, an overwhelming majority of those that employers of skilled workers such as civil engineers provide some sort of basic medical benefits to their FT staff anyway, so limiting seasonal staff do 29.5 hours sounds like either a complete misunderstanding of obamacare or using it as some sort of excuse.
