Guardians of the Galaxy IS the best Marvel movie. Hands down.

Washington State was the best college football team in the state of Washington in 2008.

@ApostleofGrief might take issue with that
no, no issue, but I suspect the 2009 Central team would have defeated the 2008 Huskies, or at least it would have been a competitive game. But they were both at high water marks, low water marks. I'm not insane. Central is never going to have the firepower to compete with a PAC-12 team. What you have from CWU/EWU is mostly guys from this state who are good football players.

Possibly retarded question, but the "new" Mad Max is a remake? I've heard it is, it isn't, and my favorite response: A stupid, annoying, vague, inane joke.

I can't stand remakes (a few here and there are fine, but Hollywood is greedy, lazy, and unimaginative these days) so I'll probably wait for Redbox, Netflix, or just not watch it...

It's not a remake. It's just a new Mad Max film. Like the Bond films they don't really have much continuity between them aside from a basic background plot and world. The movie stands on it's own.

One of the best things about this movie is that there is literally no exposition. The movie just starts and you figure out what is going on as it progresses.

I saw it on Friday with Frannie in 3D. I would have preferred she went with Dad instead but it worked out better that she went with me.

Either way, It was a movie that absolutely MUST be seen in a theatre. You'll lose half of it on the flat screen. If I was one of the Hollywood Jews, I wouldn't even dream of making an action flick after that one.

You're falsely assuming the Hollywood execs give a shit about making good movies. They don't. They would prefer for the movies to be good, but they only care about money. Every single one of those fucks would rather be producing money printing dreck like Transformers and Avengers. $219 million after two weekends on a $150 budget isn't considered a smashing success.

Fury Road is the best action flick in a decade. But, it's numbers will get clubbed by all kinds of dreck.

Just watched it, awesome stuff. Shaved head,1 armed Charlize Theron would definitely still get it. Great speed editing, really amped up the pace and intensity while not coming off as cheap and gimmicky.

I give it 4 inches of sweatpants thunder up (out of a possible 4 inches of thunder)
