Jake Locker wants to stay in Tennessee

Take this to the NFL bored.

Jack doesn't seem to be particularly edgy. He just wants to be a part of the team, preferably a part that doesn't have to go out and get hit too much. Thinking back up punter would be a good role.
-
I said it before, backup QB is the best job in the world. Looks like he is smarter now than when he stayed a year too late.
-
It's kind of weird he wants to do that. Maybe he really likes Nashville and doesn't want to move and sell his house.
He's considered the best or 2nd best free agent QB left along with Brian Hoyer. I'm guessing he could make more money going elsewhere. -
He would be a steal for Chip. Odds are he shatters, but Locker is a good value.
-
Uh, something tells me Chip is smarter than that. Locker would have been great in Oregon's system where designed QB runs are an important part of that offense but in the NFL throwing accuracy is at a premium and Jake has never been, nor will he ever be, accurate.Doogles said:He would be a steal for Chip. If every time I walked on the field I got broke.
And I lived in Nashville.
And I was told you can stay, and you will make six figures, but you won't start.
I would stay. -

Griffith delivers to Nashville?
Impressive. -
The football he is holding was used during Washington's last great season.HuskyJW said:Griffith delivers to Nashville?

I'm hearing his wife doesn't want him moving back to Ferndale
-
The real reason Locker wants to stay in Tennessee is no state income tax.
-
Just let Sark get his hands on him for a year or two.RaccoonHarry said:

Wait... -
Nashville is good town and has much lower cost of living than Seattle.
I still would love to have him as a back-up QB (or backing up Kam Chancellor?) in Seattle but can understand the appeal of staying. -
Nashville fits his style I reckon.
-
Do you mean Jack Lockner of the Ferndale Lockners?
-
baby jesus in a dingo boot fellas.
dude i work with is an SC fan, seein the pre-preseason hype and already claiming sark has won the offseason natty.
im like "brah, sark cant develop players for shit, make jack lockner a drop back passer after EVERYONE knew he was basically a white michael vick AND he made ASJ fat."
sark gonna win 8 games this year, show everyone wrong. -
Maybe he can finally play safety

He could stay healthy, make seven figures as a backup, and continue to set him and his family up for life. Smart move.
-
Too much competition for the younger Mrs. Lockner to deal with back in Ferndale?SpoonieLuv said:I'm hearing his wife doesn't want him moving back to Ferndale

Low cost of living, no state income tax, good hunting and fishing for a country boy like Lockner, big enough city to not be bored but also small enough to be comfortable.
And making 6 or 7 figures as the back up for the next 4-6 years or possibly longer?
Fuck yeah, I'd stay. -
Sounds like Tennessee wants Locker to sell the couch.

but what about wanting to lead a team into the playoffs?CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:Low cost of living, no state income tax, good hunting and fishing for a country boy like Lockner, big enough city to not be bored but also small enough to be comfortable.

Or maybe he sees the writing on the wall. -
Any Husky fan not labeled a doog could have told the Titans how drafting Locker would turn out. I'd have bet Race's house he'd fail as an NFL QB, with the only mild surprise being how often he was injured. Going forward I think he's best chance of effectiveness at the position, aside from holding a nice clipboard, is as a change of pace QB in spot play. In short doses he can complete some passes and make some plays with his legs. If he wants to start he'd better check out the CFL. Edmonton Eskimos sounds about right.
-
that he has no appreciation for Locker’s style of play.
The only people who had/have an appreciation for Jack's style of play, outside of his first two games as a Husky, are doogs.
Jack is so fucking dumb he doesn't know when he's not wanted, meaning his wife probably wants him to leave too. -
Aren't backup QBs supposed to be smart and know the playbook?
