Proof Kendyl Taylor Didn't Buy-In

This was Brandon Beaver's response today, all in good fun:
This is what Kendyl Taylor replied with:
It's actually pretty sad that he didn't learn anything. It's pretty basic stuff that will help you in real life since you aren't going to make money playing football, Kendyl.

Maybe Beaver should sell his couch and join Taylor at NAU. It wouldn't be much of a loss. If you act like a baby, you get treated like a baby. Ya think Kwiatkowski stood guard outside Shelton's classes to make sure he showed up on time?
I love the fact that a coach cares enough about his players to hold them accountable. -
It's a shame. KT really showed me something last year. I figured him to start in '15.
And yeah, smokin' weed and talkin' shit will only carry you so far in a life after football. -
Disagree Pepsi. It's not for everyone. No big deal.
-
IS THIS A VIOLATION??????????????????????????????????????????????
-
Kendyl should just sit tight, STFU, and enjoy NAU - hell, I'd even say there's a real estate career right there if he wants it. Flagstaff is cool little town
-
Someone should PhotoShop Sark outside a strip club giving this same message.

I think you missed Pepsi's point ...RoadDawg55 said:Disagree Pepsi. It's not for everyone. No big deal.
Good habits breed good results ...
Many were bent out of shape when Taylor sold the couch ... We got a glimpse of the why he did ...
Agree with you that Pete's way isn't for everybody ... But at the same time, got to pull on the same rope in the same direction -
Bull shit. You think 12 coaches (or how ever many there are) stand guard at 85 football players' classes 3x per day? How does that work?RoadDawg55 said: -
Not everyday, but from time to time. Budda and Coach Pete took a picture the other day when Petersen came and checked his class. The coaches have talked about this many times.HuskyInAZ said: -
My point is that coaches are going to focus on the challenged kids, as well they should. Apparently, Taylor had an issue with it. Tough shit.

Y'all are verging into Twetters territory here.

This is where grundle and I make our living guys... You should leave this to us pros.GrundleStiltzkin said:Y'all are verging into Twetters territory here.

No, but the coaches can have tutors and other athletic department personnel going around and making sure their kids are in classes, paying attention and doing well in school.HuskyInAZ said:
I also think the coaches realize that if the kids skip class, it's only an intern or someone reporting to the coaches and that there's no repercussions. I think having the coaches go around and check puts more weight and significance on this issue for the kids, so that they're less likely to skip class if it's a coach checking on them. It also reinforces Petersen's mantra with the coaches practicing what they preach.
FWIW, I know Romar does/did this. I remember him going up in the balcony in Kane 131 and checking to see where his players were in the middle of lecture. -
The Beavs looks like he needs to hit the weight room.

If you're 10 minutes early you're on time. If you're on time you're late

That's the takeaway: Beaver is 14droggins said:The Beavs looks like he needs to hit the weight room.

When you slack at school, you slack at practice. You breed the type of environment where Cyler says something stupid like, "yeah we had a down week of practice b/c we weren't taking it seriously". That was the sark attitude of "it's all good brah, we can win this by just showing up".
I do believe things of the field will help build the guys on the field.

All this tells me is Kendyl Taylor is a piece of shit.

Let's be thankful that this year's team is 53% Petersen, 47% Sark.FreeChavez said:When you slack at school, you slack at practice. (45 of 85 scholarship players are Petersen's, 40 of 85 scholarship players are Sark's). -
College kids aren't always on time to class. Cool story.

Except that there are tons of good players who hate school and suck at it.FreeChavez said:When you slack at school, you slack at practice. Urban Meyer's teams say hi.
I don't give a shit about Kendyl Taylor leaving, but he does have a dad, uncle, and brother who played in the NFL. He probably knows the work needed to get there. Anyways, do it Petersen's way or gtfo. It's good to have a coach who has convictions. Way too much is being made of this. -
Actually, the official party line from Buckeye Nation is that Cardale Jones has flipped the script since his infamous tweet.RoadDawg55 said:...Except that there are tons of good players who hate school and suck at it. Urban Meyer's teams say hi...

But what about Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez, Janoris Jenkins, and the Pouncy twins? I didn't name a ton of other players on his notorious Florida teams. They had guys who got in trouble off the field, but still dominated on it.TTJ said:
Not being an avid student, smoking weed, getting in fights does not always equal being lazy when it comes to football.
Many in this thread go at Taylor and for what? He was a role player at best and he's gone. No big deal. He thought the coaches were "babysitting." I'm sure there are other recruits and players who feel the same way and are football first, second, and third. Some of those guys are brb, jo worthy.
Win or gtfo. I enjoy story about a player thriving in academia like everyone else, but not nearly as much as I enjoy winning. -
I'm hearing this is one of the secrets to success. Not saying it is, just that's what I'm hearing. Learn the difference. #twistingRaceBannon said:If you're 10 minutes early you're on time. If you're on time you're late
