I'm a moderate conservative, and if this is the best we have, we are completely fucked. Typical political blowhard. John Kasich or Ben Carson, if they run, are the best choices. Unfortunately, right wing whack jobs (i.e. big business) will do everything in their power to make sure either of those 2 guys are not the nominee.

I can't wait for this go round of republican primaries. In 2011/2012, people would say crazy stuff and the crowd would just go nuts. So it became a competition for who could say the craziest shit.

I'm not that impressed with anyone in the field on either side of the aisle. Just my opinion, but I think both Kasich and Carson are more polarizing than Walker is, and by extension, less electable. Carson would be a disaster anyway, he lacks the leadership and executive experience that's required to do that job well. Kasich might actually do a good job, his track record as governor is good, but again, I think he's too polarizing and that cannot be overcome by a republican candidate. When viewed from a qualifications and experience standpoint, there is no reason to vote for Hillary Clinton. Her executive experience is limited and laughable and she has a track record as a corrupt, power hungry individual. But she has the full weight and force of the democrat party, its "get out the vote" machine, its dependent class voting block, along with its vast media machine and popular culture outlets to prop her up and demonize her opponents. Odds have to favor her winning the election regardless of who she runs against. This is why we are all fucked and Chris Mathews legs are both tingling already. -

A couple of things about Kasich......
1. When 1st elected to the House, he received 50% of the vote in his district. When up for re-election, he received 70% of the vote. When he was 1st elected Governor, he received 49% of the vote. Last year, he was re-elected with 64% of the vote. The point is that the people who he represented in the swing state of Ohio have shown through their voting that he has done a great job representing them.
2. He has experience in Washington as well as experience as a Governor, and in both instances, he has been effective. He has shown the ability to work across party lines as a Representative, and he has shown the ability to lead positive change as a CEO of the state of Ohio.
3. He's not the most charismatic speaker on the planet. But if that's a qualification for the President of the US, we are all fucked. -

Every other pol you can think of would have backed down against the mobs in Madison. Walker didn't. Union membership in WI is down 70% in some Unions. Now, they're going to pass Right to Work Law in WI and Walker will sign it. Is there a Republican in this state with his set of balls?AZDuck said:

The current republican party has no chance to produce a victory like that anytime soon. The broad electorate is trending away from the party base (social conservatives) and that will only get worse over time. Wackjob social conservatives like Walker will never win a general election.d2d said:
